THE TRADITION CONTINUES
Passion…Dedication…Teamwork are just a few characteristics the Oil Barons organization looks for in its players and coaching staff. For it is these attributes we feel are critical in building a successful framework in remaining competive in the AJHL from a team standpoint and also from an individual standpoint as well. We feel these attributes backed by an organizational commitment to provide top notch coaching will provide our players with the platform necessary to progress successfully to the next level.
With a solid financial plan, strong board direction, and top notch coaching staff, the Fort McMurray Oil Barons are one of the envied Junior 'A' hockey clubs in the province, if not the country. The proof is in the stability and winning ways of the team and organization.
Every year hockey players and organizations begin the new season with optimism and excitement for what lies ahead. Never has that been more true than in the 1999-2000 season. That year, the Oil Barons hosted and won the Royal Bank Cup, the National Junior "A" Hockey Championship. The Oil Barons chased down a dream, a National Championship.
